I mean why don't people get it? I'm talking about entertainment, politics and general every day stuff. But most of all I'm simply pissed at our nations apathy.

Nice post, I sent an E-mail complaint to channel 6. Check out the link form the story http://www.afaofpa.org/default.htm scary. How about this nice link in the site. "Pornography is very prevalent in the homosexual lifestyle. If you or someone you know is struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction, click here. http://www.sbministries.org/ " YIKES!
interesting that this would even interest you enough to blog about it, and apparently upset you. I would have agreed with you if they were getting shut down, but the article seems harmless. Nobody is going to stop calling them as a result, if anything they might get an extra call or two from somebody that became interested as a result of their story. Maybe I missed something.
I used to live a block away and would always eye the entrance to see what the "actors" looked like, but was never really sure I actually saw any.
Well, it's not this partiular issue its just that it seems to be part of an overall trend where the media goes after any institution connected to sex. Remember how they went after swingers clubs a month or so ago. Who was this hurting? The media is only catering to the public and the public seems to be getting outrages about sex and sex related issues more and more everyday when if you think about it, it should be going the other way.. no?

Channel 6 did a story on local swingers' clubs, and they were subsequently shut down. National A-1 doesn't have the same problems the swingers' clubs did (zoning), but this exposure clearly puts them at risk. It's an election year, and I would not be surprised if the city found a way to force National to close.
The problem is as trace says: why is this a story? It propagates the idea that sex per se is something harmful. And the slant in the story that the businesses are harmful to women is just plain infuriating. I know people who have worked there and the company provides a good working atmosphere, a good wage, flexible hours, 401k and full health benes. Any other companies offering that in the city to people with a high school degree?
